Terms of Use

The service
My Films provides an iPhone app and collection sync via myfilms.markodesign.net. We do not license films and do not guarantee that a title is in the catalog or on a given streaming service.
Account
You sign in with a phone number. You are responsible for access to that number. One number is one account. Do not create accounts automatically, bypass SMS limits, or impersonate someone else.
My Films Premium subscription
Full access to the app requires a My Films Premium subscription. Two plans are available: monthly and yearly. The price depends on the country of your Apple ID and is always shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. New subscribers get the first month free; the introductory offer is available once per Apple ID (and once per Family Sharing group where enabled). Without an active subscription you keep read-only access to the collection you already saved, along with sign-out, account deletion, and these legal pages.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the charge occurs within 24 hours before the new period starts. You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device Settings: Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges, and access remains until the end of the period you already paid for — the current period is not refunded pro rata. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple issues a refund, access to premium features ends immediately. Prices may change; for an existing subscription Apple notifies you in advance and, where its rules require it, asks for your consent.
Your content
Lists, ratings, and profile are yours. Do not put abusive or illegal text in names. Movie metadata comes from third-party catalogs (including TMDB) and may be imperfect.
Rules of conduct
This app has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. The following are not allowed: indecent or explicit profile photos, abusive, discriminatory or threatening names and messages, harassment of other people, spam, fraud and impersonation. We may hide a profile photo, reset a name, restrict or delete an account without prior warning, including for a single severe violation.
Reporting and blocking
You can report or block a user inside the app: the “…” menu next to a person in the cinema hall, in a shared family, on an incoming friend request, and on the invite screen. Both actions work without a subscription. We review reports within 24 hours; if several different people report the same user, their profile photo is hidden automatically until the review. Blocking is mutual: you stop seeing each other, and the blocked person is not notified. The blocked list and unblocking live in Profile. Questions about moderation decisions: myfilms.markodesign.net/support.
Friends and family
Inviting someone into the cinema hall or family grants access to lists you have not hidden. A family collection is shared. Leaving a family or deleting an account changes what others see — that is expected.
Acceptable use
Do not hammer the API outside the app, scan other people’s numbers, or try to reach someone else’s collection. We may throttle SMS and access if we see abuse.
No warranties
The service is provided as is. There may be downtime, feature changes, and dependence on TMDB, the SMS provider, and Apple’s store. Liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
App Store
Downloads are also governed by Apple’s terms. If they conflict with these terms, Apple’s rules prevail for payment and distribution of the app.
Changes
If you keep using the app after we update these terms on the site, you accept the new version.
